Assemble Instruction for our Electric Cargo Bike - Ultimate Curve

Read and understand these instructions before you begin the assembly. The bike comes partly assembled, and it is important to read the manual carefully before starting  assembly, so the bicycle will be assembled in the correct order. It is recommended to be  two people to assemble the cargo bike. Be aware that the bike must be re-tightened after  approx. 20 km. Make sure to check all parts of the bike and re-tighten all moving parts,  including breaks, spokes, bolts and nuts.

Step 1: Assembly of the back and front frame

  • 2 pc. fenders
  • 4 pc. fender fittings
  • 8 pc. allen key bolts
  • 8 pc. washers
  • 8 pc. lock nuts
  • 1 pc. hydraulic break kit
  • 2 pc. metalic bolts
  • 2 pc. washers
  • 2 pc. lock nuts
  • 4 pc. black allan key bolts
  • 4 pc. black washers
  1. When the parts have been taken out of the boxes and wrapping, place the front frame upside down on a table (<55 cm wide) – see picture 1A.
  2. The two front fenders is mounted using the four fender-fittings and the eight small allen key bolts, waschers and nuts – ses picture 1D and 1E.
  3. The break discs are mounted on the front wheels – remember to match the direction of the discs and the wheels. Ses picture 1F and 1G.
  4. The front wheels are mounted – see picture 1F and 1G. Notice the direction of the wheels – they must be mounted like shown in the pictures.
  5. The hydraulic break kit for the front breaks is mounted like shown in the pictures 1H, 1I and 1J.
  6. First the piece connecting the cables is mounted using the two blank bolts, washers and lock nuts.
  7. Secondly, the break calibers are mounted using the four black allen key bolts.
  8. The position of the break calibers versus the break discs are adjusted via the side-by-side adjustment bolts on the break caliber – see picture 1K and 1L. The break discs should in this way run freely without touching the break pads when the wheel is turned. It is however OK if there is a small ”whisling” sound from the break when the wheel is turned – this will disappear after a few days of use.
  9. The hydraulic cables are stripped to the frame – ses picture 1M and 1N.

Step 2: Fenders, front wheels and brake pads

Parts you need in step 2

  1. The bearings should be lubricated with grease and the back frame and front frame is assembled with the main bolt and the bearings – see picture 2A.
  2. The split is inserted – see picture 2B.

Step 3: Assemble the box

For the side plated:

  • 10 pc. bolts

  1. The corner brackets are mounted on the frame. The short brackets on the front of the bike and the long brackets at the handle bar. See picture 3A, 3B and 3C.
  2. The bolts holding the canopy holders and the handle bar is mounted – see picture 3D and 3E.
  3. Hereafter, the side plates are mounted (picture 3F, 3G and 3H), the front- and back-plate (picture 3I, 3J and 3K) and the bottom plate (picture 3L and 3M).
  4. The four bolts securing the child seats are mounted – ses picture 3N and 3O.
  5. The stepping boards are mounted – see picture 3P and 3Q.
  6. The reflectors are mounted on the front- and back plate – see picture 3R and 3S.
  7. The canopy fittings are mounted on the side plates – see picture 3T.
  8. The child seats are mounted – see picture 3U.
  9. The belts and the fitting holding the cables to the handle bar are mounted – see picture 3V and 3X.

Step 4: The rest of the equipment

Parts you need in step 4

  • The pedals are mounted – see picture 4A. note that they have left-thread and that the pedals have left / right markings.
  • The saddle is mounted – see picture 4B and 4C
  • The handlebar is mounted. The gearshift should be placed on the right side of the handlebar and the two break handles on the left and right side respectively – see picture 4D and 4E.
  • The handlebar hight is adjusted and the bolts are tightened – see picture 4F.
  • The electrical cables for the brakes are connected – see picture 4G.
  • The hydraulic brake cables are pulled through the handlebar – the front break cable through the left side and and the back brake cable through the right side – see picture 4H and 4I.
  • The hydraulic brake cables are mounted in the brake handles First, the plug is removed from the brake handle (picture 4J). Then, the end of the brake cable is broken off, se red circle (picture 4K).
  • The cuff, the black thread-bolt and the locking ring are pulled over the break cable (picture 4L) and this is mounted in the breke handle (picture 4M). This is tightened with a 8 mm wrench (picture 4N) and the cuff is pushed in place (picture 4O).
  • This exercise is repeated for the other brake handle.
  • The bell is mounted – see picture 4P
  • The display is mounted – see picture 4Q og 4R
  • The cables by the handle bar is stripped – see picture 4S
  • The front lights are mounted– see picture 4T
  • The baggage string is mounted – see picture 4U
  • The gear is tested. If the gear ”clicks” or you experience difficulties in changing gear, you can adjust the gear by using the small black ”hand-screw” where the gear cable is mounted on the gear shift (picture 4V).
