Assemble Instruction - Ultimate Curve Cargo Bike - Mid Engine

Read and understand these instructions before starting assembly. The bicycle is delivered partially assembled, and it is important to read the manual before starting assembly, so that the bicycle is assembled in the correct order. It is recommended that 2 people assemble the cargo bike. Please note that the bicycle must be re-tightened after approx. 20 km. Be sure to check all parts of the bicycle and re-tighten all moving parts, spokes and nuts.

Step 1: Installing the fenders, front wheel and brakes

Parts you need in step 1

  • 2 pcs. fenders
  • 4 pcs. fender brackets
  • 8 pcs. allen bolts
  • 8 pcs. washers
  • 8 pcs. lock nuts
  • 1 pcs. hydraulic brake set
  • 2 pcs. blank bolts
  • 2 pcs. washers
  • 2 pcs. lock nuts
  • 4 pcs. black hex bolts
  • 4 pcs. black washers
  1. Once the bike is unpacked from the boxes and packaging, place the frame upside down on a narrow table (< 55 cm wide) – see picture 1A
  2. The two front fenders are mounted with the four fender holders and the eight small Allen bolts, washers and nuts – see pictures 1B and 1C
  3. The brake discs are mounted on the front wheels – remember to match the direction of the disc to the direction of the tire. See pictures 1D and 1E
     
  4. The front wheels are mounted – see pictures 1F and 1G. Note that the direction of travel on the tire – is mounted as shown in the pictures.
  5. The hydraulic brake set for the front brakes is mounted as shown in pictures 1H, 1I and 1J
  6. First, mount the distribution piece with the two blank bolts, discs and lock nuts (picture 1H)
  7. Then mount the two brake calipers with the four black Allen bolts (picture 1I and 1J)
  8. The position of the brake calipers is adjusted using the two adjustment bolts so that the brake discs run freely without hitting the brake pads when the wheel is turned – see pictures 1K and 1L. The brake pads may “hiss” a little when the wheel is rotated, but do not hit. Possibly. the hissing sound disappears when the brake pads wear down a bit after a short period of use of the bike.
  9. The hydraulic cables are stripped to the frame – see pictures 1M and 1N

Step 2: Assembling the rear frame and front frame

  1. The bearing cups are screwed into place on both sides of the frame – see picture 2A
  2. The ball bearings are lubricated with bicycle grease and the rear frame and front frame are assembled with the bearings, washers, main bolt and main nut – see pictures 2B, 2C and 2D
  3. There should be a washer on both sides of the bearings, one washer at the top of the bolt and one at the bottom of the nut.

Step 3: Assemble the box

For the side plates:

  • 10 pcs. bolts
  • 10 pcs. washers
  • 10 pcs. round nuts

For the end plates:

  • 10 pcs. bolts
  • 10 pcs. washers
  • 10 pcs. round nuts

For the base plate:

  • 4 pcs. long bolts
  • 4 pcs. washers
  • 4 pcs. lock nuts
  • 4 pcs. half-long bolts
  • 4 pcs. washers
  • 4 pcs. lock nuts
  • 4 stk. korte bolte
  • 4 stk. skiver
  • 4 stk. runde møtrikker
  • 8 pcs. hood nuts
  • 8 pcs. uncraco bolts with female thread
  • 8 pcs. uncraco bolts with male thread
  • 8 pcs. washers for bolts with male thread
  • 8 pcs. large washers for bolts with female thread
  • 4 pcs. long bolts
  • 4 pcs. washers
  • 4 pcs. lock nuts
  1. The corner brackets are mounted on the four corners of the frame. The two short corner brackets should be located at the front of the frame and the two long ones by the handlebars. See pictures 3A, 3B and 3C
  2. The bolts holding the canopy brackets and handlebars are installed – see pictures 3D and 3E
  3. Then mount the side panels (picture 3F, 3G and 3H), the end panels (picture 3I, 3J and 3K) and the bottom panel (picture 3L).
  4. Then mount the four bolts that will hold the children’s benches in place – see picture 3N and 3O
  5. Mount the running boards – see picture 3P and 3Q
  6. Mount the reflectors on the front and rear panels – see picture 3R and 3S
  7. Mount the canopy dowels on the side panels – see picture 3T
  8. Mount the children’s benches – see picture 3U
  9. Mount the harnesses and the rail to hold the handlebar cable – see picture 3V and 3X

Step 4: The rest of the equipment

Parts you need in step 4

  1. Install the pedals (see picture 4A) – note the left-hand thread and the markings on the pedals for left and right.
  2. The saddle is mounted – see pictures 4B and 4C
  3. The handlebar is mounted with the gear shifter on the inner right side and then the brake levers – see pictures 4D and 4E
  4. The handlebar is adjusted to the desired height and the handlebar bolts are tightened – see picture 4F
  5. The hydraulic brake cables are routed up through the handlebars – the front brake cable on the left side and the rear brake cable on the right side – see images 4H and 4I
  6. The hydraulic brake cables are installed in the brake levers. First, unscrew the plug from the brake lever (picture 4J). Then, break the end of the brake cable, see red circle (picture 4K)
  7. The machete, threaded piece and locking ring are inserted over the end of the brake cable (picture 4L) and this is screwed into the brake lever (picture 4M). It is tightened with an 8 mm wrench (picture 4N) and the machete is inserted over the end (picture 4O). Repeat this with the other brake lever.
  8. The doorbell is mounted – see picture 4P
  9. The display is mounted – see pictures 4Q and 4R
  10. The cables at the handlebars are connected with cable ties – see picture 4S
  11. The headlights are mounted – see picture 4T
  12. Attach the luggage strap – see image 4U
  13. The gear is tested. If the gears “click” or there is difficulty shifting to all gears, adjustment can be made with the hand screw where the gear cable is mounted on the gear shifter (see picture 4V)

IMPortant info

  • The frame number is stamped into the frame on the left side of the bike – just in front of the left pedal.
  • Remember to adjust and re-tighten all moving parts on the bike after some weeks of use. If re- tightening of the spokes are needed, please use a spoke tightener.
